Virginia Shanholtz, a Wilmington artist, has lived most of her life on a farm in Clinton Co, Ohio.
Though mostly self taught, she received instruction at the Dayton Art Institute, Southern State Community College, and workshops with many noted artists. Virginia paints a wide variety of different subjects, portraits, landscapes, seascapes, animals, and florals in watercolor, oil, and acrylic.
Her work has been accepted into juried art shows including the Clinton Memorial Hospital Art Show and various exhibits at the Pump House Art Gallery in Chillicothe, Ohio. Her works have won awards at the Brush and Palette Art Guild show and at the Foothills Art Show in Jackson, Ohio.
she is a member of the Brush and Palette Art Guild and the Ohio Watercolor Society. Her paintings and many commissioned works hang in collections throughout the United States.
